Take Five has opened its gates in December, 2007 with the serious intention of providing a place that had never existed before in Budapest: a place with style that is yet accommodating and informal. A good pub with good music, where anything can happen – in the good sense.

12th December, Saturday

22 :00 - Festival Opening Party: Rotfront (GER)

The festival opens with the gig of Rotfront, a band that plays Russian pub music mixed with klezmer, gipsy songs, tango, ragga – so at least twelve styles of dance-music. The members of the band hold various nationalities, and they all arrive here from the German capital. The band Rotfront was established in 2003 by Yuriy Gurzhy, a DJ from the Russendisko (Berlin) and Simon Wahorn, well known figure of the Hungarian underground in the 70ies/80ies. They sing in Russian, in Hungarian and in Ukrainian that is joined with German and English rap, as well. Their last concert – over a half a year ago – was an extremely good show on the ship A38. I guess it’s time to get your tickets to be able to fit in the club Take5!

Tickets: on presale: 2000 HUF, on the spot: 2500 HUF

After the concert DJ Kanadakáosz and Placid aka Popdavec (Radio Tilos) will roll the records.
