Marom Budapest
MAROM – coordinator and organizer
Marom Budapest is a non-profit cultural association that was formed by the initiative of young adults to discover, revive and re-interpret Jewish traditions. The main profile of Marom is thus to organize such cultural and educational programs that are somehow related to Judaism. Marom organizes concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions, movie screenings, round-table discussions, seminars and workshops.
Marom stands up for such social issues as the protection of environment, preservation of city landscapes and furthermore organizes charity actions (collection of cloths and giving out food) for the poor, the homeless and the elderly. Marom organizes smaller-and bigger festivals on the fest of Chanukah since 7 years, but it was also Marom that organized this summer the Lake Bánk Festival with great success.
Chair: Gábor Bende, Director: Adam Schönberger.
