Garcon is a French word that means boy or man. Using it in colloquial language is mostly spread on the real estate market.  Those small sized apartment are called „garzon” in Hungarian that have a maximum of one community space, a cooking corner and a shower located in the same space as the toilet. It is often called a bachelor-apartment as well.
